New Kids On The Block releases Still Kids

The band first full length album in over 10 years

Multi-platinum pop icons New Kids On The Block have released their highly anticipated new album, Still Kids, out now via BMG. Still Kids marks the first full-length studio album from the New Kids in 11 years.

The album release is accompanied by a new fan video for the featured track “Magic” by Blockhead. Fans submitted videos showcasing how they are still kids at heart, and in honor of the new album, the band has released a surprise video compilation to accompany the song “Magic.”

Still Kids also features the fan-lauded and critically acclaimed lead single “Kids” (listen here). The track was written and produced by David Stewart (BTS, Jonas Brothers, Jack Harlow, Shania Twain, and more) and Luke Batt (Katie Melua). Press has described the song as “a euphoric pop banger…” (People Magazine), “upbeat… bouncy” (Billboard), “…youthful banger…” (American Songwriter), and “revved-up” (iHeart).

The all-new album features 14 new tracks, including the lead single “Kids,” and showcases the band’s evolution as songwriters. It includes pop anthems, dance tracks, love songs, and grooves that will surely become fast favorites for the Blockheads. Members Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood draw inspiration from the New Kids’ beginnings while exploring new musical territory.

“It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made,” says Donnie Wahlberg, who co-wrote seven of the tracks on Still Kids with longtime collaborator Lars Halvor Jensen and his production company DEEKAY Music. “Yet it’s the most fun and most comfortable album we’ve ever made.” Wahlberg is also credited as creative director on the album.

Joey McIntyre, who co-wrote another six tracks with songwriter and producer Sean Thomas, echoes the sentiment: “It says a lot about any band to make a record that has energy, passion, lightness, fun, and depth after almost 40 years together. It’s crazy.”

“This album, more than any other, is bringing the New Kids and the fans full circle,” Wahlberg concludes. “It’s about hope and possibilities and being ourselves.”
