The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on this day in 1886.
Back in 2017 my daughter and I ventured down to NYC to meet family and we took a sight seeing cruise from lower Manhattan to mid Manhattan and then saw the Statue of Liberty before getting off the boat. First I must say, it was an adventure trying to keep still while trying to photograph on a rocking boat. But it really is a sight to see! I’m hoping to see it more up close someday.
