I had an idea what I wanted to design for Finding Stamford’s logo. I wanted some type of skyline shot, outlined with the text Finding Stamford below it. I thought I had a photo of the skyline – then I remember I couldn’t find the right location to photograph Stamford skyline. Unless traffic while sitting on 95 would have worked and I was not willing to try that. I dug a little deeper and found a photo I took at the Stamford train station a while back. I decided to work with it and see what I could do. I saw in my head vibrant colors going from bright yellow to bright pink. Knowing how busy and for a while I was driving to Stamford at night to head into NYC for a photography project. I saw Stamford during the predawn hours and Stamford was always lit with a different array of colors from street signs to side walks to buildings.

I wasn’t sure about the train station while I was working on it, I was seeing the blocks and sections I was working with. I sent it off to a few people and they told me they really liked it and liked the idea. After not looking at it after for a few days, I really do like it!

Logo was done in Adobe Illustrator.
