For those who are on my Facebook, have seen me post when I get a new pair of sneakers with a caption “How long will these last for?”

They don’t last long. I bought my last two pairs in January. I had to get a new pair of trail sneakers and I got my nicer pair to wear when I’m running to the store if I’m running around photographing or in Westport.
Yesterday something odd happened to a pair that I purchased back in September. The tongue on the on pair flipped over and I couldn’t get it to set back and I looked ridiculous walking around town with this sneaker tongue flapped over covering the laces.
Off to New Balance outlet in Oxford I went.
It’s their annual tent sale. I have the dates mentioned in my “What is there to do this summer” post from a few weeks ago. As much as going to New Balance excites me, I only needed one pair (right now). It was hard to walk down the make-shift aisle pretty sneakers that I want to purchase and wear out in the matter of no time. But this time, I didn’t look for the ones that I know I can purchase in the store during their buy one get one 1/2 off,
I will be in love with these pair in the matter of no time.
New Balance as two factories in Maine, one outside of Bangor and one in Norway. New Balance is also voted year after year as one of the best places to work in Maine.
