Finding Wilton logo for social media.

I knew what I wanted and it took me months to get there. When I started to work on this logo, I wanted to use what Wilton is known for, which is its historic farming. I had photos of Ambler Farm, but when I made the photos into a vector image, the barn was all dark and was not useable, then I thought about using the Cannondale train station. There were cars in front of the train station and after I took that out and replaced it with text, I didn’t like it and scrapped it. Then I took a break from it. I went through my photos of Wilton and came across one of my favorite ones that I took at Weir Farm. Which is a mailbox. I was on the fence about using this image for a few reasons, since Weir Farm is a national park, I am not sure if I can use it in a logo, and a mailbox doesn’t exactly capture Wilton’s farming history, however, as the blog grows and forms an identity of its own then I will go back to the drawing board.

The round logo is for Instagram, I wanted something basic. I was going to use the mailbox but with the space I have and I didn’t want to spend months on it. I decided to put the FW together and had some space at the bottom. I ended up putting “Finding Wilton” there. It works.

I feel that Finding Wilton is almost completed now that Wilton is almost done, I have a few minor things to do and then its on to Weston and Easton in the next few days.
