Taylor Swift, Me! Single

The other day I was struggling. I was going through the songs/playlists on my phone and had a hard time to settle on one. The Panic at the Disco, George Ezra, Matt Nathanson, Gavin Degraw, Jack Johnson, The Greatest Showman soundtrack (both of them the original and the remix) and Lady Gaga, are all I have been playing for the last few months to give me a break from Taylor Swift’s Reputation album that I played non stop for about a year.

For a few weeks Tswift has been teasing us about something going to happen on 4.26. I was praying for a new song. I got home from Westport about 45 minutes before the release, I was beat, and was looking forward to a quick catnap before I do my daily walk around the neighborhood. But I knew at midnight on 4.26 magic was going to happen.

For 4 minutes I was hooked, watched as Tswift did her magic and found new lyrics for me to obsess over. The time had arrived and before I knew it, there was a sea of pastel colors covering the screen of my phone and I couldn’t stop watching this music video as Tswift was jumping around Paris being splashed with a  pastel colors stick. I did love the cameo of Tswifts cats, Meredith and Oliva and to have Brendon Urie of Panic at the Disco with her as well. What I thought was going to be a while before her latest music was going to be released, was surprised that Tswift is back at giving us fans more of something we love.

I wanted more. I wanted to download the song right away. I went on iTunes and didn’t see it, they wanted to you to subscribe to apple music to hear it. I checked again a few hours later and Me! was available to download. I can’t stop playing it in my car, finally, my music slump is over!

I’m sorry Rob Thomas, I have been looking forward to your latest album that was released on the same day, but clearly, you will have to wait until my latest Taylor Swift kick is over.
